Why not learn about Wiesbaden first-hand this April from the comfort of your own home? Host a short-term student from Germany as they participate in an academic shadow program. They are so excited to have this opportunity, if even for a short four weeks. Each student is 15 years old and will be attending a local high school as a freshman. Meet our students:
Jonas has one older brother who was a year-long exchange student in NH and has heard all about the US and the high school experience. He is very excited to be able to come visit and can't wait to meet his new host family. He enjoys swimming, bicycling, basketball, and going to the movies. He says he really likes pets, too! He's a self-proclaimed 'city boy' and looks forward to exploring Athens while he's here.

Lennart, even more impressive in the area of language, has studied English for 9 years. He likes swimming and basketball, and like every other teenage boy on the planet - he enjoys video games. On the weekend he likes to go into town to do some shopping, catch a movie at the cinema or meet up with some friends. Lennart has a severe cat allergy, is there a sympathetic allergy sufferer who'd like to host Lennart? Or a dog person, perhaps. (smile)
Nathalie has a younger sister and they are both avid horse lovers. When not engaged with schoolwork or housework, Nathalie and her sister spend time at the stables. They often take their dog wit them and enjoy time walking in the surrounding forest. She also enjoys bowling, reading computers and going to the movies. She, too, has studied English for 7 years and her skills are quite good. However, she admits she's shy and hopes her time here in the US will help her to overcome her fear of speaking English.
Cem describes himself as an interesting and friendly guy, interested in soccer, tennis and working out at a gym. In addition to German, he speaks English & Turkish. One of the things he's looking forward to are the 'serving sizes' in the USA! Most of our students go home and sorely miss the 'free refill' concept. Being a true Renaissance man, Cem also enjoys designing clothes and hopes to be a famous designer one day.
Laura-Lucia is a sweet girl who lives in Wiesbaden with her parents. While she has two siblings, they are older and on their own. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse "Dream Diamond". She also dances in show ballet, plays the piano, and spends time cooking with her best friend. In school, she enjoys history and art and during the summer break she likes to swim and water ski. She wants to visit because she thinks the USA is the most interesting country in the world.
